TERM 2 SEWING WORKSHOP FOR TWEENS AND TEENS

Want to learn how to sew?

Sew a whole garment in 3 sessions! This workshop series is for confident beginners or quick learners. I will help you read and understand the pattern, learn new skills as we sew the project. 

Each workshop runs for 2 hours, with plenty of time for breaks and to go at your own pace. 

PLEASE BRING:  

•  Fabric for the project - washed and ready to sew!  
  • • Heat Pack: 100% Cotton fabric, e.g. cordurouy, thick drill, towelling fabric 
    • Eye Mask: Most fabrics will be suitable. Avoid thin, see-through fabric.
    • * Rice or wheat filler for heat packs will be provided  
• Extra bits
  • thin elastic for eye mask (10-20mm) 
  • Any lace or trims you want for your eye mask  
    

What's provided:

• individual sewing machines 
• basic tools e.g. pins, fabric scissors, tailor's chalk etc
• rotary cutter and cutting mat 
• iron 
• overlocker 
• black and white thread 
• guidance with your project
• tea and coffee

About me: Hi I'm Lucy! Secondary teacher and sewing enthusiast, I love helping people learn a new skill and confidence in something they've never tried before. I've been told I'm incredibly patient, calm and personable; perfect ingredients for a cosy vibe right? I would love to teach fresh beginners to intermediates who are looking to learn a new technique.
